1. Acceptance & eligibility

By applying to the beta, creating an account, or otherwise using GigRelay, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. GigRelay is available only to people 18 years of age or older with the legal authority to enter into contracts.

2. What GigRelay is

GigRelay is a discovery and communication platform that helps DJs find posted gigs and helps event organizers ("Clients") find DJs. GigRelay is currently running a free, no-charge 30-Day Houston DJ Beta (up to 50 spots) to test real gig matching before any paid tier launches. Posting a gig is, and always will be, free. When paid DJ subscriptions launch, separate pricing terms (Section 11) apply.

3. No guarantee of bookings, leads, or income

GigRelay is a discovery and communication tool. We do not guarantee, and expressly disclaim any promise of, any number of leads, responses, bookings, gigs, clients, ratings, or income. Search results, matches, and match percentages are informational estimates only. Any subscription fee (once applicable) pays for access to the platform's features — not for results.

4. GigRelay is not a party to bookings

GigRelay is a neutral venue that facilitates introductions between independent service providers ("DJs") and event organizers ("Clients"). GigRelay is not a booking agency, employer, agent, promoter, or party to any agreement between DJs and Clients. All negotiations, agreements, performances, payments outside the platform, and disputes are solely between the DJ and the Client. DJs are independent businesses, not employees, agents, or representatives of GigRelay.

5. No vetting / no endorsement

GigRelay does not conduct background checks and does not verify the identity, qualifications, licensing, insurance, or equipment of any user. Profiles, bios, photos, and media are provided by users. Any "Recommended" badge and match percentages are automated calculations based on user-generated ratings and stated preferences; they are not an endorsement, certification, or guarantee of quality, safety, or performance.

6. Reviews & ratings

Reviews and ratings reflect the opinions of the users who post them, not the views of GigRelay. GigRelay does not author, verify, or endorse reviews and is not the publisher or speaker of user-generated content. We may, but are not obligated to, remove content that violates these Terms. A DJ's visibility in search and feeds is determined by automated quality factors (including ratings, response rates, and reports) at GigRelay's sole discretion.

Review integrity: fake reviews, review-swapping, and incentivized reviews are prohibited and may result in content removal and account action.

7. Acceptable use

GigRelay may limit, throttle, suspend, or terminate accounts that engage in spam, harassment, mass unsolicited contact, fake gigs or reviews, circumvention of platform messaging, scraping, or automated access. Enforcement decisions, including feed visibility, are at GigRelay's sole discretion and are not refundable events.

8. Off-platform contact & payment disclaimer

Users who share contact information or transact outside the platform do so at their own risk. GigRelay has no visibility into, and no responsibility for, off-platform communications, agreements, or payments.

9. Ownership of content

You retain ownership of content you post (photos, bios, mixes, reviews). You grant GigRelay a worldwide, royalty-free license to host, display, and distribute that content in connection with operating and marketing the platform (for example, showing your DJ profile in search results).

10. Copyright / DMCA

If you believe content on GigRelay infringes your copyright, contact admin@gigrelay.app with the details. (A formal DMCA agent registration with the U.S. Copyright Office is planned before full launch — see our internal launch checklist.)

11. Subscription & billing terms

Right now: the Houston DJ Beta is 100% free. No card is collected and nothing is charged during the 30-day beta.

Once paid tiers launch, the following will apply and will be disclosed again, clearly, before you enter payment details:

• Founding members (a limited number per U.S. state, at GigRelay's discretion): $10/month or $100/year, locked in for as long as the subscription stays continuously active. If cancelled, lapsed, or terminated for a Terms violation, founding pricing is permanently forfeited.
• Regular members (after a state's founding allocation fills, or joining later): $15/month or $150/year.
• Your card is charged immediately upon subscribing and automatically each billing period until you cancel. Cancellation is available anytime in account settings and takes effect at the end of the period already paid for — no calls or emails required.
• 7-day money-back guarantee: new subscribers may request a full refund of their first charge within 7 days, for any reason. A refund ends access immediately and (for founding members) releases the founding slot.
• Posting a gig as a Client is, and will remain, free.

12. Right to modify or discontinue

GigRelay may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time. We may update these Terms with 30 days' notice for material changes; continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

13. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GigRelay's total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service shall not exceed the amounts you paid to GigRelay in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim (currently $0, as the beta is free). In no event shall GigRelay be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost bookings, lost income, or reputational harm.

14. "AS IS" disclaimer & AI/matching accuracy

The service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Gig posts are created by users; matches, match percentages, and any AI-assisted pitch drafts are automated estimates. GigRelay does not author, verify, or warrant that any gig, user, contact, or opportunity is genuine, current, accurate, or available. Verify all opportunities independently before relying on them.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless GigRelay and its owners, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from: (a) your use of the service; (b) your content, including reviews and messages; (c) your performance or non-performance at any event; (d) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (e) your interactions or disputes with any other user.

16. Arbitration & class-action waiver

Any dispute arising out of these Terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association in Harris County (Houston), Texas. YOU AND GIGRELAY WAIVE THE RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL AND TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. Small-claims actions are preserved, and you may opt out of this arbitration clause by written notice to GigRelay within 30 days of first accepting these Terms.

17. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

18. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms as GigRelay grows past the beta stage, with at least 30 days' notice for material changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

19. Contact

GigRelay is not yet operated by a formal business entity — a Texas LLC is planned before paid launch. Until then, GigRelay is operated by its founder.
