Privacy Policy
Draft prepared July 26, 2026 · Last updated July 26, 2026
Working draft — not yet attorney-reviewed. This policy was written to give applicants and users an honest, accurate account of what GigRelay collects and how it's used today. It is not a substitute for legal advice. Before GigRelay accepts its first paying subscriber, a Texas-licensed attorney should review and finalize this document.

1. Scope

This policy covers GigRelay's current 30-Day Houston DJ Beta application/waitlist site (gigrelay.app) and will extend to the full GigRelay platform (native gig marketplace, DJ profiles, in-app messaging, and future subscription billing) as it launches. If you apply to the beta today, this is what happens to your information right now — and what will change once the full product goes live.

2. What we collect

Today (beta application / waitlist form)

Once the full platform launches

We never ask for or accept information from anyone we know to be under 18. See Age requirement.

3. How we use it

4. Who we share it with

We don't have our own server-side database yet — the beta application data you submit today is stored with these third-party services, each of which has its own privacy practices:

Once the full platform launches, we also expect to use:

We do not share your personal information with anyone else for their own marketing purposes.

5. We do not sell your personal information

GigRelay does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

6. Cookies & analytics

The beta site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It tells us how many people visit the page and roughly how they got there — nothing more.

7. How long we keep it

Beta application data is kept for as long as needed to run the beta and evaluate founding-member eligibility, and afterward for as long as you remain a GigRelay user. If you ask us to delete your data (see below) and you have no active booking, contract, or legal obligation that requires it, we will delete it within a reasonable time.

8. Your rights & choices

Contact admin@gigrelay.app for any of the above.

9. Location & address privacy

By product design, a client's exact event address and a DJ's exact home address are never shown publicly — only a general area, zip code, and approximate distance are visible before a booking is confirmed. Full addresses are shared only between the two parties directly involved once a booking is locked in, through in-app chat.

10. Age requirement

GigRelay is only for people 18 years of age or older who are legally able to enter into contracts. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Security

We rely on reputable, security-conscious vendors (Cloudflare, Netlify, and — going forward — Stripe and Supabase) and follow reasonable practices to protect your information. No online service can guarantee perfect security, and we'll notify affected users if we ever learn of a breach involving personal information, as required by law.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as GigRelay grows past the beta stage. If we make a material change, we'll post the update here with a new "last updated" date, and for significant changes we'll try to notify active users directly.
